The 2-4-8 Tax Blend can heal the economy but that can't happen unless it
is adopted by congress.
The leaders of congress say that all tax reform options are still on the
table but most of the members don't even know what the 2-4-8 Tax Blend is.
Congress relies upon tax experts who are invited to testify and none have given testimony about
a net wealth tax.
With your help this can change.
Thank you,
Eugene Patrick Devany
Journalists: are needed to write articles on tax reform which could
be the biggest political issue of our lifetime. A fair description of the
merits of the 2-4-8 Tax Blend is all that is expected. Journalists out to
make a name for themselves have a real opportunity to do so, but should be
forewarned that tax reform and the economy are very difficult subjects to
write about.
Economists and Tax Policy Experts: are
needed to critique the 2-4-8 Tax Blend and help to assemble data and
resources to make professional review quick and easy. Co-authorship of
articles and papers is also invited. Another goal is to explore ways to have
the 2-4-8 Tax Blend scored with 10 year revenue projections so that it may be
better compared with competing tax plans. See
Plan Scoring Outline.
Partisan Bloggers:
are needed to consider and write about the 2-4-8 Tax Blend with the
political interests of Democrats and/or Republicans in mind. While the 2-4-8
Tax Blend is not a partisan position, it nevertheless offers much to the
constituents of the respective parties. Since congress is political, the
partisan spin must be presented to the members to show that their support is
consistent with their party's interest and that of the country and the
economy as a whole.
Board of Directors: Anyone with
organizational skills is invited to consider becoming a member of the Board
of Directors steering committee. The tasks ahead will require an
organization and some fund raising. I am hopeful that the process and
organization can be kept as informal as possible and that 99% of the
communication can be done online from our respective homes and offices.
Email List and Updates: In the next few months I would
like to begin a transparent process of organizing. At its simplest level I
would invite all to send an email to me with their interests. I would
compile the information with names and email addresses and send out an
update to everyone who is interested. If someone does not want to volunteer
and just wants to be on the email mailing list that is fine to.
Web Designers: I have maintained
www.TaxNetWealth.com by learning
the basics of Microsoft Expression Web 4 but I admit I am not a very good
web designer. There are better sites which are more interactive and at some
point it would be good to upgrade.
Student Activists:
The 2-4-8 Tax Blend presents an opportunity to go beyond book learning and
explore important issues that your professors never thought about. Be
creative and have some fun.
Congress Watchers: There
are probably only 50 or 60 members of congress that know enough about the
current tax code to evaluate tax reform. Journalists and insiders often call
this getting (or earning) a seat at the table. It would be very helpful to
identify and target the members of congress who are going to make a
difference.
New Suggestions: Nothing is fixed in
stone. All suggestions are welcome.
